Rooibos, also known as “red tea”, comes from the south-western peaks of the South African plateau (Northern Cape). Because it does not contain theine, rooibos has an intense and tasty flavour that can be drunk at any time of day, hot or cold. It is known for its high antioxidant content, but is also used in South Africa for a variety of other benefits (against colic, heartburn, insomnia, allergies).
