The best known melon is the Charentais variety, described by its physical characteristics: round with a light green skin with dark green stripes and orange flesh. To prepare the Charentais melon, simply cut it in half and remove the seeds. Quartered, diced or in balls, you can choose the cut that best suits your recipes.
The Charentais melon can be eaten as an appetiser or as a dessert: in a salad with cherry tomatoes and feta cheese, on skewers with pieces of fig, in a fresh soup with a few mint leaves or as a carpaccio with red fruits.
